The contest of the compositions “The very best” for the alumni of the orphanages of Leningrad region was held with the aim to attract attention of people to the problems of upbringing the orphans. No one can tell about the every day selfless work of the orphanage tutors better than the kids. These compositions will help to break some stereotypes, made by scandalous articles in the press and programs on TV. Many good professionals and just good people are working in the orphanages. They are not often remembered, they are paid a little, they even do not get flowers for the 1st of September.
Read these compositions. Choose the most sincere, to your mind (it will not be easy) and vote for it on the voting page. According to the results of the voting we will choose three best compositions. The authors and those, about whom they have written will get awards.

Our director is the very best. She is the most exacting. She wants order in everything: in our clothes, in shoes, in our rooms and even in our heads. Of course, we can not always correspond to it. But if we look into, we understand, that the director is right. When everything is in order, there are less problems and stresses.
The director is the most attentive. She notices everything. When she speaks to us, she would not only call us down, she would praise us for our success. Sometimes we take offence with our director, but forget it soon. Then we try to smile to Nina Nikolaevna, she always wishes us the best. Sometimes it is very hard, and you think:"Why am I in the orphanage?". It is a pity. But the director says, that "this is the person, who adorns his place of living". The director always says, that we should overcome all the difficulties and have an aim and strive for it...
A person can do little without an aim. But not all kids understand it. But the director gives examples of our graduates, who are successful in life. Perhaps, our director is not the very best one, but she is responsible for everything, and this is not easy.

When I came to live to the orphanage I did not know anyone. I had problems with school. But when I was told, that I would be helped, I began to study. Then I was in the fourth group. The tutor there was Zhuravleva Lubov Egorovna. I liked this tutor at once.
Lubov Egorovna has a very good temper, she works bona fide, she is very kind and fair. This tutor began to help me with studies, to solve different problems.
I respect this tutor most of all now. She is the dearest of all tutors for me. If Lubov Egorovna quits her work, the orphange will become dull and uninteresting. My favourite tutor is Zhuravleva Lubov Egorovna.
This tutor desrves a great attention, good treatment and all the very best. It is very difficult to work as a tutor, especially nowadys with our generation. We should be taught, made to do things. We are very disorderly kids and it is very difficult to work with us. That's why i think, we should pay attention, help and do ourselves what we should do. These are our tutors in Budogosh orphanage. Our tutors are the best tutors in the world.

My favorite nurse is Ekaterina Ivanovna because she is kind, she never shouts and is very calm. I like to help her to clean and she is very kind hearted, sympathetic, clever and good. She always cleans well, after her there is no dust. She is a very good host and she is assiduous. She possesses great qualities, self-control, self-respect, call of duty.
She is very nice, cultural and friendly, but when she gets angry, it does not become to her, she can not call us down a lot, so everyone uses her kindness.
When the parting comes I will cry a lot and miss everyone, especially Ekaterina Ivanovna, I can’t even imagine, how I am going to live without the tutors, nurses and everyone else.
I love her very much because she is a cool woman and I will always remember her.

When I came to the orphanage, I liked a kind, sensitive and very tender tutor Viktoria Vladimirovna. She always shines like the sun, helps in everything we ask. I am attached to her and love like my real mother.
She is very open and very caring. She is very friendly and her smile is a real one, it warms your heart. The main things in her are love, kindness and selflessness. She wisely takes her fate, that is prepared to her by life. It seems that she is noticed and marked out of all people. Her life guiding lines are – she herself, her family, home.
When we talk to her she wakes up our best memories. My favorite tutor differs from others by her politeness, kindness and a little bit of exactingness. She has qualities, that I envy: her inner
I am thankful to Viktoria Vladimirovna because she has taught us a lot, gave many knowledge self respect, sincerity, timidity, generosity. and brought up those kids, who live in the orphanage longer than I do.

My favorite tutor is Nadezhda Pavlovna, she is now working in a kindergarten. I miss her very much and love. She is nice, proud and caring, but when she is mad with us, it is better to stay aside. It is dull in the orphanage without her: no one calls us down the way she does. She is always just, never tells bad about people. It was difficult to part with her, I have not understood why she left, but she remembers about us. She loves kids and helps in everything.

I would like to write about my favorite person in the orphanage, about Nadezhda Pavlovna. Nadezhda Pavlovna was our tutor. She is the kindest, the fairest, the most tender. She is our second mother.
Nadezhda Pavlovna was working with us girls in the third group. We learned a lot from her: diligence, politeness, beauty, to evaluate ourselves and other people, to achieve everything in life. Former alumnus come to her to get advice. Nadezhda Pavlovna will always be an example of a Mother for us. She has a kind smile, tender eyes and strong hands.
We love our Nadezhda Pavlovna.

Composition No. 7. Author Baranova Maria (17 years old). Pikalevskiy orphanage. “The very best”
I would like to tell about my “very-very best”. Her name is Terekhova Vera Ivanovna, she is the tutor of the third group (the youngest).
When I came to the orphanage, I liked her at once. She is of a middle height, nice, joyful… I can speak about her without stop.
I like her unique character. Vera Ivanovna would always help in hard time, will pity, caress, would never grudge anything for us.
Vera Ivanovna is 40 years old, she has her own kids – Ira, 10 years old, Juriy, 8 years old and Andrey, 20 years old. They are always friendly, polite, they are lucky to have such a Mom.
This year I also was lucky. I worked in a building team and Vera Ivanovna was my brigadier. It is fun and cool with her. She always smiles and tells jokes. She is not a woman, but an ANGEL.
When I grow up I would like to be like her in everything, especially in character.
I sincerely wish Vera Ivanovna to get everything she wants.

I would like to tell about my favorite tutor, it is Irina Vladimirovna Kirillova. She is the woman from a capital letter, the director of the orphanage and the tutor of the youngest group. She is very kind, always helps when it is difficult, she tries to make us good people. Sometimes she is strict, but I know, that it is fair, it means, that we deserved it with some not very good deed. She would not waste her nerves.
Irina Vladimirovna tries to send us to different trips, in order to show us many interesting places in our lives. Probably we will not have the opportunity to see everything when we grow up. We often go to Saint-Petersburg, it is very beautiful. We are thankful to her for these trips. But it sometimes happens, that we do not notice how much the employees of the orphanage do for us.
Irina Vladimirovna is a clever woman. She got the second higher education, recently she has passed her exams and got the best marks, I am very happy for her.
She has a grown-up daughter Nastya, who also studies. Recently Irina Vladimirovna has adopted a little boy Serezha from the orphanage. I am very happy for him, he is in the family now. When Irina Vladimirovna invited me to her place, I saw a different person – she always smiled. But when she works, she is in no laughing mood, she is very busy. Irina Vladimirovna teaches us to knit, I study with pleasure, I want to knit as good and as neat as she does.
There are many people in the world, who want to help us. Some of them help with the words, others with their deeds and irina Vladimirovna helps us to meet such people, we speak a lot, sometimes play. In January during winter holidays we went to Losevo and did not want to return, it was so great there! There we made friends with the kids from other orphanages and then parted with tears in our eyes. Thanks to Irina Ivanovna we can rest in summer camps and resorts. I can sincerely say, that she is the most caring and the most respected person in the orphanage, and she is my very-very favorite tutor.

Impatiently I want to tell about the kindest and the favorite tutor. Her name is Tatiana Anatolievna. I know her for three years, from the moment I came to the orphanage. I know her as a kind, hard-working person, she loves kids very much, that is why my composition is about her.
Tatiana Anatolievna would always help at difficult times: she explains everything and helps to do our homework, can give advice in difficult situation, teaches good things.
She works with the youngest kids, she loves little ones. I often help her and learn to communicate and take care about them. Tatiana Anatolievna always tells if I do anything wrong. It is so nice, when you are taught something helpful in life.
Tatiana Anatolievna also teaches us to be hard working. There is a flower bed at the territory of the orphanage. We work there together. She teaches to do the work well, neat and not to be in a hurry. If you can’t do something, she would help with advice. Tatiana Anatolievna helps not only me, but other kids on the flower bed.
I often visit Tatiana Anatolievna’s family. She is a family person, likes to keep the house. She teaches me to cook, to knit – I will need this all in my future life.
Sometimes kids from the orphanage go to excursions together with her. During the trips she tells us interesting stories, teaches to behave and makes our trips fun. Thanks to her I became so communicative and polite.
Tatiana Anatolievna not only loves kids and hard working, but she likes to go in for sport. She skies together with us, plays sports and games. During the competitions she is our fan. Tatiana Anatolievna is an understanding person with a large soul. When something happens or I just feel sad, she speaks to me and it becomes easier.
I have told you about my favorite and the very best tutor. I would like to finish my story in that way:

My favorite tutor is Larisa Alexandrovna Frantsuzova. I like her very much because she is very beautiful and tender. She can find a common language with the kids, will always help. Larisa Alexandrovna is the favorite tutor, kind, hard working, caring. She teaches us sport in the orphanage. In winter we together ski, go to the sauna, in spring and in autumn we go to the swimming-pool, participate in different sport competitions. She teaches us to love sport and makes us healthy and strong.
Larisa Alexandrovna sews very well, if anything tears in our clothes, she always helps to cope with it.
Larisa Alexandrovna has her kids: a girl and a boy. We often play together. She is a very good tutor and a very good mother.
Larisa Alexandrovna does not only work, but also studies in the university. She is a good example of a tutor and a good mother for me. And she is just an example of a good and interesting person. It is so good, that such kind and patient people are with us. She warms our souls with her warmth. I love Larisa Alexandrovna very much!
Composition No. 11. Author Riabova Veronika Jurievna (14 years old). Pikalevskiy orphanage.“My favorite tutor”
I would like to tell you about my favorite tutor – Klukvina Alena Vladimirovna. She has been working in the orphanage for a long time. When I came to the orphanage I met her first. I thought she was a girl because she is very young and beautiful. Alena Vladimirovna has a long red braid, but her height is rather good. Alena Vladimirovna has a little son Ilusha, he is now 6 years old. He sometimes comes to us and plays with little kids. Alena Vladimirovna buys him all toys he wants. Ilia always brings a lot of toys to the orphanage. His favorite toys are Ninja Turtles and Dinosaurs. Alena Vladimirovna is a very good kind and sensitive person .She always helps with the homework, helps to get ready for the tests. Alena Vladimirovna never grudges her spare time for the kids. My favorite tutor goes with us to the “working hour” and helps do everything in time. She always supports kids and protects them. Alena Vladimirovna often goes to us to different trips. Recently we have visited Aquapark in Saint-Petersburg with her. Then we went to the village “Morozovo” for the sport competitions.
Soon we will go to Saint-Petersburg again with Alena Vladimirovna. We are going to the zoo and to the planetarium. I am very happy because my favorite tutor is with me.
In summer we work in building team. I am very sorry that we work in different teams with Alena Vladimirovna. I went to plant the garden and she – to lay the tile on the paths. But I am happy that when all the kids get together and Alena Vladimirovna comes to get them I can chat with her in the morning.
When I am sad or I am in no mood my favorite tutor would always help and calm me down. I get peace in the soul. Alena Vladimirovna always treats the kids calm, tender, she would always find common language with every child.
I am very happy, that Alena Vladimirovna works in the orphanage, she shows with her behavior and appearance that she is one of the best tutors in the world. I have found my second mum, she substitutes me my Mom with her love and tenderness.

Zinaida Sergeevna Gorbunova has come to our orphanage recently to work as a nurse. She is not very young, she has her grandchildren. She began treating us as if we were her own grandchildren.
Zinaida Sergeevna likes order in everything and teaches us to work.
But she does this quietly, she never shouts at us, quietly shows and explains how we should work.
New flowers appeared in the group. It was Zinaida Sergeevna who brought the seedlings and we pricked it off with our tutors. The nurse explains us how to take care of the plants. She knows a lot, it is interesting to be with her, listen to her quiet voice.
Zinaida Sergeevna tells a lot about herself and her family. She invited us to her place. We were shocked by the cleanness and order in her house and in the vegetable garden. She can do everything with her hands.
Zinaida Sergeevna is a good hand at everything. Not everyone can embroider and knit like she can do! I wonder at her patience and hardworking.
At her spare time Zinaida Sergeevna goes outside and plants flowers and waters them. This wonderful woman can not sit without business!
Composition No. 13. Author Boikov Nikolay (the pupil of the 4th form). Tolmachevskiy orphanage. “The most respected person in the orphanage”
I would like to tell about social teacher Vasilieva Vera Viktorovna. She works in a small tight room, but there are always many people there. Kids like to speak with Vera Viktorovna. She lets us use the telephone, copying machine, takes us to our relatives and friends. Vera Viktorovna is always in good mood. She always smiles to us. Even if we make her sorry with bad marks or misbehavior, she loves us, feels sorry for us. She would never say, that we are boring or disturb her. She feels bad without kids.
Vera Viktorovna knows about our relatives, writes them letters, applies for pensions for those kids, who have no parents. Vera Viktorovna is very beautiful. She has a beautiful voice, face, smile, walk. Everything she does – she does beautifully. It is cozy, warm and calm with her. Like with Mom.
Composition No. 14. Author Isakova Natalia (16 years old). Shumskiy orphanage. “The favorite tutor”.
My favorite tutor is Kirillova Nina Nikolaevna.
Nina Nikolaevna used to work at school as a teacher of Russian, but then she came to work with us in the orphanage. Many children loved her at once for her kindness and tender heart. All kids respected her.
Nina Nikolaevna loved children very much, always helped them with the homework, not only with Russian, but also with Mathematics, History, Literature. She brought different crossword puzzles, conundrums and solved them together with kids.
Nina Nikolaevna told a lot about her life, about war and how kids studied at school in old days. She invented different games and events for the kids of different ages.
Nina Nikolaevna has become the second Mom for me, because she understood me better than other tutors and told me how to behave in different difficult situations, how to avoid conflicts and solve everything quietly. Now Nina Nikolaevna is not working in the orphanage, because this work demands for good health, and she is not very healthy.
She is rather old and her health is rather poor, her blood pressure is often high, she has headaches and so on. But in spite of this she will always stay the best tutor. When she retired we all cried.
I also do not live in the orphanage now, but I live with my guardian, the director of the orphanage Filippova Tatiana Gennadievna. She is also a very good person, she cares about me as if about her own child. I respect her very much and love.
I meet Nina Nikolaevna in the street and always after I had talked to her my mood is better, I feel that all unpleasant things go away. I wish these meetings were oftener. Nina Nikolaevna has taught me a lot. To love life, to understand people, to listen to my heart, to respect older people, and the main thing – to love my Motherland.
I wish all people not to forget that Mother is a sacred person. Love and respect your mothers, do not make them sorry, otherwise your kids will do the same to you.

The favorite tutor is Udaltsova Tatiana Vasilievna. She is a lady of declining years. She has light hair, blue eyes. She treats all kids tenderly because she has a kind heart.
I love her for her kindness, for respect towards the kids, especially to me. She is my best tutor. Tatiana Vasilievna has grown me up from the age of three, and now I am 11. She is still bringing me up and treats all the others well. When she needs to go somewhere she always takes me with her. I help her.
Tatiana Vasilievna cares about the kids, fondles them, gives good advice, talks to them sincerely.
When the summer time comes, we with Tatiana Vasilievna work in the vegetable garden together. We prick off, water the plants and weed them. We grow flowers. We are always together with Tatiana Vasilievna!
Composition No. 16. Author: Mark Maria (14 years old). Lopukhinskiy orphanage.«The most respected person in the orphanage»
There is a tutor in our group. Her name is Svetlana Alexandrovna Osipova. We all respect her very much. She is like a grandmother to us. She can tell a lot of interesting things, tell how to behave and how our behavior results in the future. She tells us, how a family should look like, she tells that we should be good and caring mothers. Svetlana Alexandrovna explains us that we must study in order to get education, choose a good profession and find a normal job in our lives. All teachers including Svetlana Alexandrovna want to give us the knowledge that they have got. She does not moralize. We are at the age, when we ourselves know what is good and what is bad, she just explains why we should behave, in order to be friendly, to find friends, who will be able to help in hard times and share your happiness and disaster.
She is strict, but fair and loves us.
I respect her for that.

Composition No. 17. Author: Gumenuk Karina (11 years old). Lopukhinskiy orphanage.«The favorite tutor»
Three tutors work in our group. They all are good and I love them all very much. But I would like to write about Cherpak Lubov Nikolaevna. She has been working in our group for a year, but we all love her, because she does a lot for us and it is very interesting with her.
Lubov Nikolaevna also works in the library. She reads a lot, can tell a lot. She wants us to love books, she reads for us, holds literature contests. We like to go to the library very much, because besides books and magazines, which we read, there is a computer there. Lubov Nikolaevna helps to study it, teaches us not only to play, but to work, to type presentations and texts. We like it very much.
Lubov Nikolaevna spends only 15 hours a week with us, it is not much, but nevertheless she teaches us a lot. She helps us to do our homework, no sums and huge poems and paragraphs are fearful with her, she would help to understand, solve, learn everything and get good marks.
It is Lubov Nikolaevna – the only person in the orphanage, who helps to develop our soul. She took everyone who wanted to the church and baptized us, we are very thankful to her for it. Now we have god parents who come to us, make friends and care about us. We travel with her and with them, go to Koporie for example. It is an ancient fortress, which is located not far from us. Recently we traveled to Saint-Petersburg to see a show of Ice Battle. It was an unforgettable event. We saw almost a real fight of the warriors in ancient clothes, with ancient weapons, it was very interesting. We took pictures there.
We also went to the Russian museum with Lubov Nikolaevna, I saw many interesting things there. I like to draw very much and it was important for me to look at the works of other artists. I was impressed with the paintings of Vasnetsov, Grabar and also I liked capron threads, that were hanging from the ceiling and the seasons were shown on them. Lubov Nikolaevna said that it was called an interactive show.
Lubov Nikolaevna cares about our appearance. She wants us to look neat. She sews beautiful dresses for us. It is not a shame even to go to the ball in them.
And we also love pets and Lubov Nikolaevna takes care about them. She has taken a homeless dog that came to our orphanage. We called the dog Jacky and now Jacky lives with Lubov Nikolaevna.
Lubov Nikolaevna gives us presents for all holidays and birthdays.
This is my favorite tutor! I can’t help loving her!

It is fine in our orphanage like at home. We have everything thanks to the director of our orphanage Kovalchuk Nadezhda Vladimirovna. She found sponsors, who gave computers to almost all groups and we all were taught to use them. We have light and clean bedrooms and play rooms. She tries to give us nice and fashionable clothes. Thanks to her the graduates get profession and even study in the universities. She is very kind to us, tough is strict sometimes. We are always ashamed when she speaks about our behaviour with us. She travels everywhere and has an opportunity to provide us with everything we need. She always defends us if anyone offends us, she is our main Mom.
When we graduate we will not forget her love, kindness and care. I think, not every child gets so many presents for the holidays, as we get. It is interesting in our orphanage, we travel a lot, have competitions, meet interesting people: actors, writers, students. We participate in concerts, sport competitions, where we get good prizes. Our life in the orphanage is so interesting, that we forget that we are orphans. We know, there is someone who cares about us, protects us. I would like to tell her a great “thank you”. We are very lucky to meet such a “Mom”.
